Our July Box centered around Pachinko by Min Jin Lee.
We first noticed this book on a celebrity Instagram account. Once we began reading it we were captivated by the family story and loved learning about Korean and Japan during a time in History we were not familiar with. The story is captivating, heartbreaking, informative and brilliantly written. Don’t be intimidated by its size you will be drawn in and swept up in the story of four generations of a poor immigrant family.
