Subscription box ordering is not an exact science but one we have been honing for years. Unfortunately, even the best-laid plans can cause delays in our boxes being shipped on the date we estimate.
Typically we curate our award-winning Book Subscription 3-4 months in advance however, tighter timelines may occur on some boxes depending on the number of books released during a specific time period.
Even with 3-4 month planning and orders in the past year, we had difficulty with products not arriving on time or needing to be substituted at the last minute. A change in a product or late arriving books can cause a minimum of a 1-2 week delay. The moment all products are in, packing begins.
Other potential challenges include Statutory Holidays, warehouse staff shortages, broken products, IT errors etc. Unlike Amazon, we are a small family run business that ships via Canada Post/USPS so shipping takes a bit more time.
We are a small team and dedicated team at Sweet Reads Box. Illness or family matters can cause a delay in customer service or box confirmation/packing.
Sending an update that a box will be delayed is really disappointing for all of us at Sweet Reads. We work hard to deliver the absolute best book boxes in Canada and the U.S.
